St Louis, Missouri

I was diagnosed with Brugada Syndrome by:

Dr. Jane Chen, EP
Washington University Hospital and Barnes-Jewish Hospital
St Louis, MO

phone# 314-362-1291

I have been very happy with her knowledge regarding the subject as well as her manner of making it understandable for all those involved.

Northern Virginia area:

Dr. Walter Atiga
Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiologist
http://www.virginiaheart.com/handler.cf ... cpid=27768

He diagnosed me with BrS in 2013. Very knowledgeable and measured in his approach. Took the time to answer all questions and also spoke with my wife prior to the decision to implant ICD. Their practice also has an excellent staff who helped me through the genetic testing process.

For genetic screening, I recommend www.invitae.com. It's more expensive (and must be ordered through your provider) but the results are clinically verified and much more comprehensive than some of the household/consumer genetic testing companies out there.

Is there a cardiologist who specialises in Brugada in Perth, Western Australia? The cardiologist I see thinks that syncope, tachycardia and dizziness is not related to Brugada (I have type 1). He put me on Beta-blockers, inserted a LINK loop recorder and sent me on my way. Prior to collapsing at work I used to run 12km and lead an active healthy lifestyle as a working mother of 3 young children. Now my life has been turned upside down, I am constantly dizzy, light headed, my heart races for no reason and I am in fear of having another major syncope episode, and, well, dying. My children are being tested for Brugada but I have to wait 2 months to get the results. I cannot believe that the cardiologist thinks my symptoms are unrelated to Brugada! This does not give me much confidence.

Dr. Vincent Keating - Community Heart & Vascular - Indianapolis, IN. He and his staff have been knowledgeable, responsive and understanding. He placed my ICD.
Indiana University West ER did a fabulous job when I presented with initial symptoms of a heart attack. They saw the pattern on ECG and ruled out STEMI after a heart cath. Their cardiology department followed up quickly, told me they thought my ECG was Brugada and encouraged me to follow up with an EP Specialist asap.
